The Gedling School is very proud of its links with the local community and we work hard to ensure that our facilities are shared with those who can benefit from their use. Our Sports Centre, opened in 2007, boasts a fitness suite, as well as a large 4 court sports hall. Both of these facilities are available for use and hire outside of the school day. In addition, our tennis courts, artificial pitches, multi-use games area and football pitches are available to local community groups and teams most nights. Fitness Suite
The fitness suite boasts state of the art equipment with the range including; concept II Rowing machines, treadmills, cross trainers, upright & recumbent bikes, selection of resistance machines, smiths machine and free weights as well as a variety of specialist equipment.
The fitness suite offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all gym users seven days a week. It is open to all members of the community from people who are new to exercise to more experienced trainers.
You will always find the fitness suite has a member of qualified staff on site to ensure your gym experience is safe and memorable, and we believe this is why people keep on returning.
Classes
Classes are currently free of charge if you are a member of the fitness suite. If you're not a member but would like to join in then you can do so by paying per session.
- Circuit Training - Monday 7.00pm-8.00pm with Martyn
- Kettlebells - Tuesday 6:15pm-7:15pm with Stephen (In House Personal Trainer)
- Abs Blast - Wednesday 7.00pm-8.00pm with Kath
- Chair Based Exercise - Thursday 10.00am-10.45am with Sonia
- Zumba - Thursday 7.00pm-8.00pm with Rach NB: These classes are £5.00 for both members and non-members
- Gym Circuits - Friday 7.30pm-8.30pm with Stephen (In House Personal Trainer)
- Legs, Bums and Tums - Saturday 9.00am-10.00am with Rach
Sports Hall and Sprung Floor Gymnasium
The 4 court sports hall and spring floor gymnasium are available for hire by clubs, groups and pay and play sessions. We can cater for football, basketball, netball, badminton, volleyball, table-tennis, mini-gymnastics, cricket and fitness classes.
Birthday Parties
Our facilities are also popular for children's birthday parties. Our party package is based on providing excellent sport and fitness fun filled activities. Party packages available are football, basketball, multi-sports, cheerleading and dance. The packages include 1 hour led activity of your choice by a fully qualified coach and 1 hour use of the sports hall for food and party games (food not included). Only £65.00!
